Optimal time for maternity shoots...


Maternity sessions can kind of be tricky at times. It's kind a guessing game as to "when" is the ideal time for a session. If mommas wait til later on within their pregnancy, it makes the bump look bigger/rounder. You don't want to wait too late to book, the baby may come before you know it! I am going to recommend booking maternity session during the 35-37 week of pregnancy. It is usually the perfect time-frame photographers are looking for! If you take them within these weeks of pregnancy, you're guaranteed to have picture back, well before your baby makes its way into the world.

Deposit Fee

The fee is a non-refundable deposit fee, that must be paid to book your date! This is not an added fee. It is part of your original price. Your balance is due by your session date. You can pay via venmo, cashapp, paypal, cash, or check! :)


Don't forget the all the props mommas!


Shelby L. Photography does not have props or dresses for all maternity shoots. I want the mom to get the photos she has always envisioned. I'm open to all ideas and creativity to add to your beautiful session, as well as my portfolio. Mommas, you can provide any baby outfits or props, such as.. sonogram pictures, baby shoes/ books, or even objects from the nursery! Props aren't mandatory, just an option if you want differentiation amongst your gallery! :)) <3
